Biography:

   Fred Teger

   Managing Director

 

   Fred Teger has over 25 years experience guiding development of innovative hi-tech products and services in consumer electronics, computer systems, and telecommunications.  He has held executive level positions in several Fortune 100 companies, and has established new business ventures both domestically and internationally.

 

  Among his many accomplishments, Fred guided initial design approaches for high definition TV products and direct-to-home satellite broadcast systems while Vice President at RCA Sarnoff.  He has also managed leading edge development of new interactive Internet services aimed at the WebTV market for Philips Electronics.

 

  Fred has directed business development for Cadence Design Systems, a billion-dollar company aiming at expansion of new multimedia products into the Far East, Europe, and the USA.  His efforts included new market identification and development, as well as upgrading sales force capabilities. 

 

  In addition, Fred has many years of experience as a professional marketing consultant, responsible for high-level competitive market research and analysis.  Projects have included long term planning for a major Japanese chip manufacturer, market analysis of electronic direct mail approaches, as well as research into many technology product development areas.

 

  Fred also personally established a successful multi-national computer systems venture in Hong Kong, marketing products in Europe, India, and the USA.  He was also a founder of Satellite Network Delivery Corporation, a domestic company providing a unique, one-way data communications network with nationwide U.S. coverage. 

 

  In conjunction with Georgann Occhipinti, Fred has developed Avantt Consulting in NJ (now Tiger Consulting), a management consulting group specializing in strategic planning, team and leadership development, and executive coaching.  Fred also created a new software consulting Business Unit for Triangle Computer Group, providing both project management capabilities and staffing resources for clients.

 

  Fred holds a B.A. and B.S.E.E. from Columbia University and was a David Sarnoff Distinguished Fellow for graduate study in computer science. He has received three Outstanding Achievement Awards from RCA.  He is active in several professional societies including the IEEE, ASQ and AIP.  He enjoys scuba diving, biking, skiing, and has traveled and hiked extensively in Southeast Asia and Latin America.
